This is one of my great achievements that I really wanted to share. Recently I was contacted by the owner of a Belgian Malinois who was totally at the point of despair, Her dog was having many behaviour difficulties, very reactive in the house jumping up and biting the ceiling light fitting, severe case of separation anxiety he would not tolerate being left in a room alone for any length of time and became very destructive. During walks he would pull extremely badly, jump into the air and bite the lead, savagely attack dogs and pin them to the floor before being hauled off by the owner, surely a serious disaster was imminent.
Prior to my visit the owner had contacted the breeder expecting some helpful advice to help with this horrible behaviour. The breeder advised my client to use a barbed pinch collar, if that did not work then the dog should be kicked into submission! The owner then tried the services of a local trainer, who could not help and had to admit failure, after visiting the breeder again he then advised her to have the dog destroyed.
Thankfully I was then contacted by a very emotional young lady, after managing to calm her down I assured her that she should disregard previous advice and allow me to intervene. Sure enough after 3 training sessions, I can honestly say that beautiful dog is saved; I cannot describe how satisfying that feels to be able to deliver such a positive result.
